Intermediate Courses in the College are in accordance with the guidelines of the Jharkhand Academic Council, Ranchi.
Students of I.A. shall study one core language, one elective language and three optional subjects and an additional subject if desired.
Compulsory subjects

Note : (i) A student shall not study the same language as a Compulsory and an Elective subject.
Students are advised to study that language as an elective subject in which they are proficient.
to study a language as an honours subject at the degree level a student must have studied it as an elective subject at the intermediate level.

About Additional Subject :
- If a candidate passes in all the Compulsory subjects and in only two of the Optional subjects she shall be declared to have passed the examination provided that she has offered an additional subject and has passed in it.
- If a candidate passes in all the compulsory, optional and additional subjects her result shall be determined on the basis of marks obtained by her in the compulsory subject and three out of the four optional and additional subjects taken together in which she has secured higher marks. The subject in which she has secured lowest marks will be treated as an additional subject and the name of the additional subject will be mentioned in the certificate.
